Common questions

Why does an item say it has no due date?

Because it does not know what to count from yet. A job set to every 5,000 miles needs a starting odometer reading — either from the last time it was done, or from the vehicle itself. Enter a reading, or log the last service, and the target appears. It deliberately does not guess: counting from zero would put the job thousands of miles overdue the moment you entered a real reading.

I typed the wrong mileage. Can I fix it?

Yes. Open the item, tap through to the service history, and edit or delete the entry. The schedule recalculates, and if the odometer was set from the record you corrected, that moves too.

What counts as one asset?

One thing you own — a house, a truck, a tractor, a mower. Maintenance items on it are unlimited, on the free plan as well as the paid one.

Will I lose my data if I change phones?

ReminDIY stores everything on the device, so it travels with your normal phone backup if you have one switched on. It does not sync between devices, because there is no account behind it.

Can I track something that is not a vehicle or a house?

Yes — pick "other" when adding it, and set your own items and intervals. Anything with a service schedule works, whether it is counted in miles, running hours, or plain calendar time.

Delete your data

There is no account to close. Removing the app from your phone removes everything it stored. Individual items, service records and whole assets can also be deleted from inside the app at any time.
